The Gunner

My Name:
Kelsea Danielle Wiggins

Processed with Moldiv

My Current Job/Company:
Project Administrator for PCM, Inc

Marketing Coordinator for Pallet House Furnishings

My Birthday:
Thanksgiving Day, 1991

My Work:
I truly believe I was placed on this Earth to be an encourager, an edifier, a seed waterer, etc. I am most fulfilled and pleased when I am helping someone else achieve a goal or find success. I want all the “work” I do in this life to be meaningful in the sense that it stood for something bigger than itself and positively impacted other souls.

My Passion:
Women’s rights, Civil rights, Music, Writing, English Premier League Football.

My Family:
Colin (Older brother, parachute in times of trouble, first best friend. 27)

Elizabeth (Mother, motivator, example, Goddess. Ageless)

Kenny (Father, twin, full-time comedian. 50-something.)

Lauren (Not-so-biological sister. Truest friend. My ever-clean, ever-reflective mirror. 24)

My Hero or Heroes:

Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Clive Staples Lewis. Thierry Henry. My Grandmother.

My Escape(s):
Anywhere with good acoustics. – in times of joy.

Zen Cha Tea Salon in the Short North. – in times of reflection.

My boyfriend’s arms. – in times of fatigue.

Earphones + a good album – all times.

My Pet Peeve:
When people do not have the ability to see from another’s perspective.

Excuses.

When people choose to not live up to their potential.

My Indulgence:

I’m wholly addicted to brownies. I will never be able to restrain/control myself around brownies. Ever.

My Roots:
Family over everything… but family doesn’t always mean blood.

My Future:

A world where confidence in women and girls is commonplace.

Growing old with the love of my life, many dogs, a few kids, and lots of travel.

My Favorite Quote:

“You don’t have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body.” -CS Lewis

My Accessory:

Big earrings. Or my huge, gold, knuckle ring.

My Advice to Young Women:
Fake it until you make it—in regards to confidence, treating people like you love them, making decisions, etc. Act like the person you want to become, and you will become her. CS Lewis said that if we start behaving as if we love others (regardless of if we really do or not) we will find that the actual act and emotion of love comes naturally. So just start doing it—whatever it is you want to do.

How I Balance it All:
Donut Shop coffee (and Tim Horton’s dark roast, when travelling.) My Gratitude Journal. The community of women who support and uplift me, daily. Spotify. My Savior and Redeemer, my Best Friend, my Rock—the One who holds the Universe and my hand: my Jesus.
