I’m interrupting this riveting series on Getting Your Head Out of Your Own Ass to document this day.
FriYay, June 26th, One Week after JuneTeenth (Coincidence, Supreme Court?), The Supreme Court of The United States of America decided (finally) that Gay Marriages are legal and should be recognized in all 50, glorious states.
As someone who may or may not be in love, (but has 100% for sure been in love before) I know how precious the concept, the idea, the legality, the formality, the institution of marriage is. It’s the ultimate commitment and sacrifice. The (second) greatest declaration of love.
As someone who has been discriminated against and not always had every right afforded to me – I know how precious the concept, the idea, the legality, the formality, the institution of equality is. It is the ultimate form of justice. It is the (third?) greatest declaration of love.
So to all my brothers and sister, (not just the gay ones) I congratulate you on being a part of the generation that would not sit down and shut up for inequality or injustice, period.

I believe we’re all a little more free.
